Kohl's Cares School Program...
Kohl's
has a grant program which allows facebook members to vote
for their favorite school to win $500,000. The 20 schools
that get the most votes will EACH get $500,000.
Kohl’s is giving every voter a total of 20 votes, but each
user can only vote a maximum of 5 times for each school.
We have formed a voting coalition with three other South
Carolina high school band programs, and they have agreed
to vote for us if we will vote for them. Since there will
be 20 winners, we can ALL win. By getting them to vote for
us, and us agreeing to vote for them, then we will be able
to get 4 times as many votes - and this coalition gives
us a much better chance of winning than if we didn’t vote
as a coalition.
You
can vote for our school to win the money by going to Kohl’s
facebook page and voting for Boiling Springs High. All you
have to do is to log into facebook, go to the Kohl’s facebook
page, select that you “like” Kohl’s and then click on the
tab that says “Kohl’s Cares”. Search for “Boiling Springs
High (Spartanburg 02)” and then vote 5 TIMES for us. Below
the section that you vote in, there is a tab (button) with
a big blue + sign that says “Submit Your Idea”. Please click
on that button and tell Kohl’s that you want the money to
support the BAND program (you can submit your idea each
time that you vote). We have a 49 page funding proposal
on the www.bshbb.org website located on the “boosters” page.
You could post something like THIS:

Also, please vote for the other schools in our voting coalition
(they will also be voting for us):

After
you vote for us, then please vote for the other three schools
in our band coalition, and please let them know that you
are from Boiling Springs and that we are supporting their
school and that we want their band program to get the money.
Then ask them to vote for us! You can leave positive comments
for them on the “submit your idea” button, just like you
did for us. It is VERY IMPORTANT that we let them know that
we are voting for them - so that they will vote for us.
Something like this:
I am from Boiling Springs and I voted for YOU to
win $500,000 from Kohl’s Cares. I would like your BAND program
to get the money. Please vote for us also - so that we can
all win!

After voting for us, then PLEASE VOTE FOR THE OTHER
COALITION MEMBERS, and submit your idea that the
funds should go to their band program. If they see that
we are not supporting them, they won't support us. THIS
VOTING COALITION CAN GIVE US 4 TIMES THE NUMBER OF VOTES
THAT WE WOULD GET ON OUR OWN!
Also,
please get everyone you know to vote for us and our band
coalition members. Ask them to vote, if you don’t ask, they
won’t know to vote for us and our coalition members. We
ALREADY have over 100 votes, but with your help, and with
the help of your friends and our voting coalition members,
WE CAN WIN THIS, and it costs us nothing!
